FOR SALE: Superformance-Shelby 427 SC Cobra—original owner - best reasonable offer (no trades) - SPF #1176. Titanium/Black stripes.
UNDER THE HOOD: 393 cubic inch Ford Windsor (351W - bored & stroked to 393 ci) stroker motor, Scat stroker crank, roller cam and hydraulic lifters. Edelbrock Victor Jr. big-valve heads, AED custom built Holley 4-barrel double pumper mechanical secondary carburetor($595.00),upgraded (poly) engine mounts($200.00), MSD distributor & MSD rev limiter($180.00), upgraded TIG welded radiator fill/expansion tank($500.00) - these don't leak or have seam issues. Exactly 2,482 miles ago (there was nothing wrong with the engine - I just wanted a faster car) I had the engine re-built by Olthoff Racing's select engine builder ($4,800.00) new Mahle forged pistons & rods, timing chain set, bearings, oil-pump, hydraulic camshaft, hydraulic lifters, heads & intake light port/match, clutch (while the engine was out - made sense) Superformance "larger" diameter headers installed — chassis dyno numbers (at the wheels) are 440 hp @ 5,250 rpm/ 475.2 ft.lbs. torque @ 4,200 rpm (Otherwards dyno engine torque easily in the 500's ft.lbs.) Oil pressure is a consistent 50-60 PSI. Quick, streetable, reliable, idles, no overheating issues - a well choreographed engine build. Don't under-estimate the importance of a well built & reliable motor; a non-friendly driver gets old quick.
GEARTRAIN: Tremec TKO 600 close ratio, rear end gear upgrade($320.00) -polished gear set 3.31:1 ring & pinion. 8.8 IRS Rear-end. This gear-train setup makes the power tractable in all gears and it pulls like a freight train from 0 MPH to .....
