Shelby-American 427SC Cobra, CSX4323, Shelby brushed-aluminum coachwork. Built by famed HRE Motorcars, Billy Andrews, Long Island, New York. Under The Hood: Ford 427FE side-oiler (standard bore/stroke, 10.25:1 Compression Ratio) built by Lawrence Racing Engines of Long Island, outfitted with the following equipment: BRC custom pistons, LeMans rods, Cams 249S solid lifter cam (w/CC roller rockers & ends stands), MSD Pro Billet ignition electronic distributor, MSD 6AL ignition box hinge-mounted under the dashboard, NOS Holman Moody intake manifold with four Weber 48 IDA carbs personally tuned by Jim Inglese—the Weber Authority—fitted with large spun aluminum velocity stacks, braided stainless steel fuel lines throughout with AN Shelby factory aluminum radiator with electic fans, Shelby factory headers and sidepipes with quickly removable mufflers and racing turnouts, 10 qt. Aviaid oil pan, chromed alternator. Geartrain: Lakewood scattershield, McLeod clutch, pressure plate & flywheel, Tremec TKO 5-speed gearbox with “correct” reversed shifter, 3.54:11 Shelby aluminum Salisbury rear end. Chassis Particulars: 4-wheel independent suspension precisely as per original, 4-wheel Shelby disk brakes, rack & pinon steering, 4”, round tube chassis heavy-duty front & rear sway bars. Rolling Stock: natural finished Halibrand magnesium 15” wheels -not polished – period-correct appearance fitted with Goodyear large letter racing rubber and safety-wired spinners; you also get an extra set of Trigo wheels and tires; these wheels have been finished to look like magnesium 15” stainless-steel knockoffs. In the Cockpit: original 15” hardwood-rimmed steering wheel, black Shelby gauges, pushbutton starter, black Argentine leather interior, floor mats, Hartz tonneau cover, California car cover, Simpson 5-pt. racing harness, A/C horn cap/ clutch & brake pedals, map pockets in doors, dashboard personally autographed by Carrol Shelby (you’ll be presented with photos of Mr. Shelby signing the car), onboard halon fire suppression system with 3 nozzle positions. Other Stuff: MSO signed by Carroll Shelby, triple chromed rollbar, 23 gallon / 87 litre fuel cell, dual electric fuel pumps mounted in the boot as per original, Raydot mirrors, dual Gill batteries mounted behind the passenger seat, extra set of floormats and spats. Registered as a 1965 Shelby Cobra. This amazing driving machine was painstakingly built to emulate and original ’65 cobra with very little use of chrome or polish; it’s a certified eye-stopper that is authentic and race-ready and insdistinguishable from an early (1965 or ’66) 427SC Shelby Cobra. Not listed are many extras for tuning, maintenance, etc. that will be transferred with the car.
