Description: This is a 1966 MidStates Classic Cars 427 Cobra replica. It has all of the most desirable components and is very true to the original cars.

Midstates Classic Cars is one of the oldest cobra manufacturers and they produce one of the best looking and strongest cobra bodies in the industry. The look and fit of the body is as good today as the day it was completed in 2001. A testament to the quality of the Midstates product. The majority of other manufacturer’s body’s do not hold up after a few years.

This car was first completed in 2001 and had a 390 Ford FE engine. The current engine is a ford 427 side-oiler block that has been bored and stroked to make 482 cubic inches. This new engine was recently installed and has only a few hundred miles on it.

The paint is Patriot Blue Pearl with white stripes. The interior is black and has the drop foot boxes for extra comfort for taller drivers.

Only the best parts were used to construct this car and the details are described below.

This car is a jaw dropper!!

This car is free and clear and ready to go. The car is titled as a 1966 Ford convertible.

BODY:
Very thick hand laid fiberglass factory assembled to form a one piece rigid structure. Areas of steel reinforcement that have been glassed over are located in critical stress areas. The Midstates body molds were splashed from a real aluminum bodied cobra from the mid 1960’s. This body is extremely well crafted. The gaps between the main body and doors, hood and trunk are evenly spaced. You could roll a ball bearing around the edges…its that good. The paint finish has a few nicks and chips from normal use, but nothing major. The rear bumper, front bumperettes and side louvers are made of polished stainless steel. The headlights, parking lights, tail lights, trim rings etc are all correct style Lucas lights

CHASSIS:
Custom jig welded heavy duty 2”x 4” x 0.1875” wall thickness main frame rails with outer rails (body support) of 2”x2” square tubing with bracing. The door post and door hinges fasten to this sub-frame component for a very rigid chassis.
