Description:

I hate to part with my gorgeous toy, but I have to. I originally listed this car for $21,500.00. Therefore, this can be your chance to own a '66 Cobra at a really good price because this has to sell. Most Shelby's in this condition sell for $5-10K more, and I am willing to negotiate.
Here are the details:
Registered in the State of Texas as a 1966 Ford. The VIN # matches with a 1966 Mustang. This is unique among all other Cobras in that you can insure and drive it as a 1966 car. In Texas, that means no emissions inspections as well.
Body: Cobra Auto Works
Chassis: Ron Godell Race Cars
Motor: 1989 Mustang 5.0 HO Modified with Mallory Ignition and Carb 500 with electric choke ($332.99)
Transmission: 1989 Mustang T5 Rebuilt by Lester Gear Works
Rear End: 9” Ford Positrac Narrowed by Ron Godell Race Cars. The rear end can handle a lot of pressure and power as it has a 3.70 ratio.
Wheels: Crager Aluminum Drag Stars
Brakes: Wilwood Discs and Calipers front and rear.
The car has recently had suspension work done by Keith Craft Motorsports: http://www.keithcraftmotorsports.com/ as well as a massive overhaul of the fuel tank and filtering systems. I installed racing foam in the fuel tank and re-welded the corners. Very solid.
I have most original receipts showing massive improvements on the car. One improvement is the kill-switch above the fuel tank in the rear. Without the key, the car cannot be started. This is a huge theft-deterrent as the thief will not be able to steal the car without the key!
This is completely turn-key. Nothing is needed. It starts up every time and performs beautifully.
Below is a link to YouTube that shows the car purring along the Dallas streets!

Email me and we can set up a time for you to come and see the car!

What components were supplied by Cobra Auto Works? Heater/defrost? What type front and rear suspension?

Cobraduke,
Thanks for your interest. The car came complete from Cobra Auto Works minus engine and tranny. The end is a Mustang II type suspension. I hope that helps. Please let me know if you'd like to come see the car and you can inspect it for yourself.
