Incredible Factory Five Racing Mark I 427 Shelby Cobra Roadster. This car was originally built by renowned Cobra-builder Gordon Levy (of Levy Racing) in 1998-99, with all documentation showing that it was delivered to him in Fresno and the build was finished after he moved to Arizona. Car was back and forth to Levy several times following original build to sort/repair/upgrade, last visiting Levy Racing in 2003 for a check up and installation of 17” Halibrand style wheels. I believe I am the third owner – the first (who had the car built) was located in Hesperia, CA, who sold it to the second owner in Glendale, CA, whom I purchased the car from in early 2005. Finished in silver with black stripes, with black side pipes, black powder-coated roll bar and black quick jacks. Car looks very serious, and to back up the looks, a fuel injected small block with a B&M/Powerdyne Centrifugul Supercharger is installed, feeding through an Edelbrock manifold, and Jet hot coated headers. Five-speed T-5 Tremec transmission. While I have not personally dyno’ed the car, I have a dyno sheet from 2000 following installation of the blower showing 381 HP and 362 ft/lbs of torque (compared to 270/275 prior to blower installation). AutoMeter gauges, Moto-Lita steering wheel, disc brakes all around, tires in great shape with plenty of tread left. I have several thick folders with receipts and photos, documenting the build as well as all upgrades and work that has been performed over time. This car is titled in California as a 1965 Ford, so no registration hassles for you CA residents. Odometer shows approximately 11,500 miles. No evidence of any body damage or repaint work, and the car is completely reliable (starts every time, never any mechanical issues), super fast and extremely loud. Mechanically, this car is completely dialed in and cosmetically it is in very good shape. Paint is very good, but has a few nicks/chips consistent with age & use, and interior carpet is worn and could stand to be replaced (I will probably do this myself if the car hasn’t sold in the next couple of weeks). Car is fully-sorted, and when I spoke with Gordon Levy last year prior to purchasing the car, the only recommendation he had was to install Konis and a bump-steer kit. I have owned plenty of bikes and cars in my life (including a Superformance replica with a Woodruff built big block), and there is simply no describing how loud this car is, and it will light the tires in virtually every gear (I have only done this in 1, 2 & 3, lacking adequate roadway to try it beyond that). I have never tracked the car, and the prior owner claimed to have never done so either. I have too many toys and must start to sell them (the Superformance is available too if you’re interested). Photos available. Car is in Van Nuys, CA. Please pm, email or call 818-915-3606 with any questions. Thanks
