Description: Rare book, so rare that if all the owners of the '05 & '06 Ford GTs were to try to buy one, they wouldn't each be able to get one because there were less printed than Ford GTs made (4038 units is the combined total '05-'06) . Hardbound, 224 pages, 32 pages full colour, over 100 b & w illustrations, design commentary, dueling introductions by Bob Bondurant and Sir John Whitmore, 3 page essay by Dan Gurney, 3 pages on Shelby, sections on Miles, Remington, etc. Half the book is on the original GT40s and half on the design, development, engineering, testing, production and marketing of the new ones. Don't look for this book at Borders, Barnes & Noble because they never were offered the book. This book was privately printed at great expense by three GT40 fans, one of whom bought an '06 because of their strong belief in the new Ford GT. To see a picture of the cover, go to this website:

(It's the sixth story down)

If you pass up the opportunity to buy this book, just remember what happened when you had a chance to buy Stauffer Publishings book Daytona Cobra coupe for $125 and passed on it. It's been out of print some years now and I have heard of fantastic prices in the $500-and-up range even for used ones. (George--please reprint it!)
