SOLD! (Best Offer) Great

Description: For Sale- 289 HIPO, this is an original Ford 289 HIPO. In storage many years I have decided to sell it as I no longer have the car I was going to install it in.

It is in very good shape but will need assy. The block part number is C5AE-6015-E with a date code of 5E27, May 27, 1965. It was originally in a Mustang, the serial number

on the block stamped near the front passenger side has the Mustangs serial #5R07K233***. The engine assy. stamping date on the front of the engine is 5F4T, which translates to June 4, 1965. It has the stock 4 inch bore.

The heads are the original hipo heads with a date code of 5D27 on both, April 27, 1965. The number 20 is cast on to both heads. There are two dots over the 289 cast into the head. The intake is 1.78 and exhaust is 1.45.
The last crankshaft weight is polished and has the hatchet. The HIPO damper is dated E5 or May 1965 with a part number C5OE A and is the wide almost 2" with the tapered edge.

The flywheel is the original 160 tooth, part number C3OE-6880-B. Date code is 5A19. The flywheel has the hardness test, the lightly ground area has small depressed dot on it which I believe is a brinnell hardness test.

Of course it has hipo pistons and connecting rods. They have not been removed from the engine.

The distributor is a FOMOCO, part # C5OZ-12127-E, dated 5DD

I have a few various induction systems available, cast iron factory Ford, Original Ford tri-power with buddy bar casting and very original, also a Ford dual quad with two new Ford Holleys, the intake says FOMOCO on the front runner. The intake systems are being sold seperatly.

If your looking for a genuine 289 HIPO with correct part numbers and date codes please contact me and I can answer all your specific questions.

This is a rare oppurtunity to aquire a genuine rare 289 hipo with most all of the original parts in good condition. Thanks, Chris, 610-637-8344
