Description: Three magazines that contain road tests of early 260 and 289 Cobras.
!- CARS, Oct 1962. An intro of the early 260 c.i. Cobra, 0 to 60 They state is 4.2 seconds.? Contains eight photos. Excellent overall article. Also contains another article on a Holman Moody custom Falcon for endurance racing. It has a custom fastback roofline. Pictured at Sebring with 14 very detailed photos of the engine, interior, rear dif and suspension, and what looks like a hipo generator plus much much more. In fair but complete condition withsome tape on the binding, but no loose or missing pages.
2- HOT ROD, Dec 1962. Well written article describing the new 260 Cobra. Details on how Carroll Shelby negotiated the deal between Ford and AC of England. Their expectations of the car is very positive. Interesting photos, one of a side draft weber option. In very good to excellent condition
3- Motor Trend, September 1963. This article has thirteen photos, large close up of the engine with the blocked off vacum on the distributor, one of a blood red 289 Cobra, plus many other excellent details. It also has a cutaway drawing with the internals. Another very detailed article. A very postive article on the AC Cobra as it evolved into an early 289 Cobra. Magazine is in good shape except the cover does have wear but no tape. No missing or loose pages. {see Photos}
Price is $25.00, plus shipping
