BackDraft Racing 427C Roadster, Indigo Blue/white stripes
Oklahoma clear Title, One owner and titled as a 1966 Roadster. Which means cheaper insurance, I have American Classic car insurance for $300 per year! And because of the 1966 vintage now smog hassles ever. The car was built in 2004 by Backdraft Racing.
I have owned many High performance and Exotic Sports cars over the years. And this beast is the one. Stress melts away and is replaced by a huge grin. Easy to drive with torque that just pours on. Side pipes sound like ten Harleys and acceleration is phenomenal. Park it and cell phones come out, pictures are taken and questions asked. This will be the coolest car in your neck of the woods. Maintenance, except for regular synthetic oil changes and air filters has been non existent.
All Engine and running components are available at the local parts store. And BackDraft Racing has been in business for almost a decade. They still manufacture this model and have all body and custom parts available. They are known as producing one of the best engineered and true to form Cobras. This is not a kit built by an unknown in their garage. This is a well engineered, solid, reliable and beautiful classic. You could build a kit cobra and assemble it yoourself for less money, but a basic BackDraft Cobra costs $32,000 plus the engine and transmission, about $54,000 for this car. This car is a near perfect condition. It has never been in the rain, never raced and been pampered in a climate controlled garage. All it needs is you, to enjoy it!
Chassis, suspension and braking particulars: the front suspension is engineered with cast lower wishbones, BMW M3 coil-over struts, a heavy-duty stabilizer bar and rack & pinion steering; in the rear, BMW IRS, with 2-track control arms and one longitudinal arm, fully adjustable and fitted with polyurethane bushings; power-assisted disc brakes on all four corners. Chromed side pipes with heat shields, powder-coated frame, SS dual roll bars and aluminum windshield frame.
Under the hood: Professionally built Ford Racing 351W/ Reliable 400 horsepower, outfitted with Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM air gap intake. Keith Black Hyper Eutectics Pistons, ARP fasteners, Holley carburetor, polished SS radiator pipes, MSD Ignition with Rev limiter, ceramic-coated headers, Lakewood bell housing and lots of polished stainless and chromed premium components . Power and torque fed through a Ford Racing/Tremec TKO500 5-speed gearbox. Gives a nice 2000 rpm in 5th at Interstate speeds
