Description:

Make me an offer. You never know til you ask and I'm ready to move this car so I can buy the other vehicle I'm looking at.
Here's the rundown on my fastback. I've worked on it for over 3 years and media blasted the entire car before I started, so there's absolutely no rust. I know this is not technically Eleanor, but it is unique being a 65 model. People always do a double-take when they see it and always call it Eleanor even though it's a 65 model. It has 76,xxx original miles on it and was originally a factory 289 4brl, C-4 car with an 8in rear and was originally sold and lived nearly all of it's life in Dallas, Tx.
Engine: DSS 347 Stroker with all forged internals, 9.0:1 compression, billet main support system, Canton windage tray, Canton sumped oil pan, aluminum DSS pushrods, Comp custom grind hyd roller cam, Edelbrock RPM Air Gap endurashine intake, Holley HP750 carb, Total Control Products aluminum adjustable throttle linkage rod with heim joints on each end, MSD Billet Distributor, Ford Racing 9mm wires, Ford Racing billet aluminum wire separator plates, Aluminum 4 row radiator, Tuff Stuff chrome 100 amp one wire alternator, Ford Racing mini starter, TCI sfi flywheel, Romac sfi harmonic balancer, Reichard Racing timing pointer, serpentine belt setup. The motor, according to DSS Racing is 450-475 HP and will handle a 200 shot of spray like candy, if you like spray, I don't.
Heads: AFR 185's with aluminum DSS roller rockers, DSS aluminum valve covers
Exhaust: JBA titanium coated headers. These headers are the Shelby Tri-Y style and are stepped 1-3/4" to 1-5/8" to 2-1/2" collectors. Cutouts are welded in between the headers and in front of the mufflers. Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers dumped after the rearend.
Fuel: Aeromotive fuel system with A1000 pump and Aeromotive bypass style regulator, braided stainless fuel line and return line from tank to carb, sumped stock fuel tank
Trans: Frank Lupo's Pro-formance Transmissions built C-4 with reverse manual valve body (fully rollerized, hardened input shaft, reinforced forward drum), B&M Pro-Rachet shifter, 9 inch Dynamic Convertors 3,800 stall
Suspension: Total Control Products underhood tubular strut tower, monte carlo and braces all on heim joints, Total Control Products subframe connectors, Total Control Products X-Brace with drivesaft safety loop (bolts to the inside of left and right subframe connector literally X across the car for chassis stiffening), Chris Alston Chassis Fab 9 rearend with bakbraces, Strange nodular 3rd member with 31 spline Auburn Pro diff and 3.70 gears, custom built Denny's driveshaft with chromeoly yoke and 1350 joints, Calvert Racing split monoleaf rear springs, Caltrac traction bars, QA1 adjustable shocks at all 4 corners, Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes, Hurst line lock (lighted electric switch on custom made panel)
Interior: Scat Procar seats with side bolsters, RCI 4 point harnesses, factory rear fold down seats with factory type black upholstery, new black carpet, new chrome door sill plates with Carroll Shelby tags, new headliner, new windshield, factory door glass and factory rear glass, Grant steering wheel, Autometer Sport Comp Monster 5 inch tach (same one as used in the actual Eleanor movie car), Autometer Sport Comp oil pressure gauge, Autometer water temp gauge (both mounted under dash), Painless wiring control panel mounted under dash for ignition, fuel pump, electric fan, front Eleanor lights
Other: Front upper and lower Eleanor fiberglass nose with functional upper and lower lights, Eleanor hi-rise fiberglass hood, low tension hood springs, Shelby sequential tail lights with 256 led's per light, fiberglass rear bumper, fiberglass ducktail trunk lid with fibeglass ducktail rear quarter extensions. Optima battery relocated to trunk in Jegs battery box, Jegs cutoff switch between gas cap and right tail light.
I have the Eleanor fiberglass upper side scoops and the fiberglass lower rocker panels with side exhaust cutouts and will include them with the car. I didn't install the upper side scoops due to personal preference - I like the chrome vents on the upper panel of the 65-66 fastbacks. The lower rocker panel pieces can be installed, but the exhaust couldn't be made functional due to the suspension so I chose not to put them on since it would have been just for looks.
We all know the 67-68 fastbacks with the Eleanor kits go for $80,000 and up. I have over $60,000 in receipts alone in mine not including time and labor, which we all know we never get back. As much as I love the car, it's time to let it go and move on to something else. I do that every couple of years.
**If I were to trade, it would either be your trade plus cash on your end or depending on value, even trade is possible. My trade value will be in the $45,000 range. The only reason I'd rather sell is there is a vehicle I've wanted for a long time that has come up for sale, so I have to sell the 65 before I can get it. If I can't sell it, then it won't bother me to keep it. I enjoy the attention and looks it gets.
My loss is your gain. I know I'm not going to get exactly what I have in this car back, which is around $60,000 and Yes, I have receipts to prove it. I've built enough cars to know that you usually never get your money back. I want to sell this car and let someone else enjoy it, but I refuse to give it away however and I believe I've priced it to where I don't think you can build one this cheap for my asking price. Asking $35,500 obo.
Thanks, Eric

No reasonable offer will be refused. Don't be afraid to make an offer. The worst I can say is no thanks. You never know what you will get it for unless you ask.
