Description:

This sale is to make me a fair offer for an original cobra aluminum T-10 transmission. This is the L series one and measures 27 inches from mounting ear aluminum to tailshaft aluminum. The drivers bottom ear is broken off and needs repaired. I DO NOT HAVE the old ear so you will have to have it repaired before you use it if for a show car. I had it checked by a local transmission shop and they said it looked good and to use it as is. I'm selling this as a transmission as one to rebuild or as a core. I will take it and to the local transmission shop and have any questions answered you have, but all sales are final. I would use it as is like the shop said, but I am not giving any garantee stated or implied that its ready to use. I know it a hard to find item and I will answer any questions you have or send your e-mail any added pictures you request before you make offer. I want to sale it and get a fair price, but I know its used and could or could not need some repair. I am not trying to hide anything, I just don't want any hassles about it after the sale. I want to post it here to have it sold to a shelby or cobra buyer and not a e-bay vendor that would fix and re-post it restored latter for the big bucks. I feel it needs to go to a car owner who needs it, and not a vendor thats all. (sorry vendors) It has been in dry storage since the mid 1980's and used in the 1970's and early 80's in a mustang race car. It was traded to me as good to use, but with a broken ear in the 1980's. I was going to use it to save weight but never got around to it, and held on to it due to it being rare. I would take partial trades on hi-po stuff such as heads, a fan, carb, or orginal aluminum motor stuff all for a 289 small block. I hope I get a honest fair offer and I can sell it here to someone who really needs it for there car. THANKS

Yes, I have gotton some offers and partial trades, but havn't sold it yet. Thanks for the interest, I have to download picture of the inside to a few people and I hope to have it sold or traded this weekend. I have been working alot during the week, but should have some free time this Sat or Sun to call and work out a deal. No one has gave me a good market value yet, but after they see the pictures of the inside they will. ( Its NICE) I put fair on my decription due to the broken case, NOT BECAUSE the insides are bad. After I get these picture done I think I will have some nice offers and then it will be sold. I thank you all for looking, and I wish I had the car this goes in. All I have is old Mustangs with top loaders. Thanks again I envy all of you Cobra and Shelby owners, and e-mail me for any additional pictures if your serious about wanting this trans.
