Description:
|
1997 Ex Bondurant/Miller Motorsports race car, 19,617 original miles. Hit across front of nose, perfect donor for a new FFR build, or add a new radiator support and some sheetmetal and go racing. Can hear run, can be lot driven. Car has upgraded suspension and brakes, along with a bolt in fuelsafe fuel cell, custom roll cage, reflashed computer (there are no catalytic converters or emissions that I can see) fire suppression system, griggs rear suspension and torque arm....No front seats........Asking price is $3,800. Serious responses only please.
Some of the more common question/answers are as follows:
Does the car have the brake system intact:
Yes, Hydroboost is still in the car along with anti lock brake module.
Do you think the frame rails can be fixed or do they need to be replaced?
Yes, frame rails can be straightened, you will need at least the radiator support, left front fender apron, and the associated exterior sheet metal and bits and piece to put the car back on the track.
What about the rest of the body:
Drivers door skin (shell is fine, skin is pulled back and cannot be saved, door opens and closes just fine and glass is intact and not broken), drivers rear quarter is a tough call, my bodyman (currently on disability) states he can fix it, but I believe it should be replaced. Left rear tail lamp assembly and rear bumper cover.
I noticed the car does not have a drive belt on it, how can you say it runs?
Hook up the battery and it fires right up, once the new rim (does not match the other 3, sorry) comes in, it will be driveable on the property, which was my goal from the very start.
Why are you selling it:
I was going to use this car for a FFR donor, stumbled across an ERA 289FIA already built (and with an identical drivetrain already installed) at a price too good to pass up, so I bought it, now I do not need the car as a donor any longer. I had also toyed with the idea of fixing the car and putting it back on the track, but with the economy the way it is, I'm worried more about paying the bills at the shop than playing with another toy........I'll leave it at that......
Any other serious questions, or anyone who would like to come view the car up close and personal, feel free to PM me your contact information and we can go from there.
Sincerely,
Bill S.
