I went to a buddies house to look at a 427 that has been on the engine stand for 20 years that he wants to sell
The block casting number and date code is
C3AE-H
3D12
Cross bolted mains
press in freeze plugs
It has 428CJ heads on it
C8OE-N
8L22 date code on one head didnt check the other one
It has adjustable rockers on it
A T pan
C3AE-A timing cover
The engine is complete and on the stand
Freshly rebuilt 20 years ago
kept in a climate controlled garage
I didnt pull the pan to check the crank or rod numbers but will for any serious minded buyer
supposed to be 30 over
unsure of pistons
It is located in Fenton Mo
He is asking $5000 Firm
