BackDraft Racing 427 Roadster, Pewter with Charcoal stripes with just over 6,000 miles. Comes with a cloth top w/ windows, tonneau cover, heater, heated seats, matching colored wheels, classic gauges, and stereo/CD with amp (both easily removed with little trace).
Location - York, PA
This car was built by Backdraft Racing. I’m the one and only owner since its birth in South Africa. I custom ordered it and waited for over a year for it to finally be in my garage. There’s no way to describe the feeling when driving this car. I made sure I did my homework (some here) before I decided on a Backdraft. I drove many cars from many manufacturers for about a year and a half, but the Backdraft grabbed the road and cornered like it was riding on rails.
All engine and running components are available at the local parts store. Backdraft Racing has been in business for almost a decade. They still manufacture this model and have all body and custom parts available. They are known as producing one of the best engineered and true to form Cobras. This is not a kit built by an unknown in their garage. This is a well engineered, solid, reliable and beautiful classic. You could build a kit cobra and assemble it yourself for less money, but a basic Backdraft Cobra costs $32,000 plus the engine and transmission, about $52,000 for this car with all the options I ordered. This car is a near perfect condition. It has never been in the rain, never raced and been pampered.
Check out the Backdraft website to learn more about all of the first class features this car has to offer. Chromed side pipes with heat shields, powder-coated frame, SS roll bar and aluminum windshield frame.
Under the hood: Professionally built and installed Ford 351W. Reliable 365 horsepower with 398 ft/lbs in torque – yes, you feel it. Full details on the exact motor installed can be found here http://www.jasperengines.com/pdf/Class II-Ford 351W-365 hp 08.pdf . Power to the rear comes through a World Class T-5, which gives great torque with lower gears and low RPM’s at highway speed.
If you are still reading and interested, the price is now $36,500

Newsnake,
Yes it does. They came with the top, so they match perfectly and come in their own storage pouch for the trunk.
