Description
You are looking at a beautiful 1966 Ford 427 AC Cobra Replica Car, 351 c.i.d. 8 cylinder in excellent condition with 10,389 total miles on the odometer since it was built. The Ford AC Cobra has always been know as one of the great American sports cars, and this kit car is a great edition of the 1966 model. Don't miss your chance to own this great replica car that was professionally built by Showroom Automotive of Missouri in 1995, and manufactered by Classic Motor Carriages (CMC). Documented build price was over $65K.
Condition:
Mechanically this car is in excellent condition. It runs and drives great with awesome acceleration and great handling. This car was built right. The power you feel while accelerating is unreal. The 351 c.i.d. V8 engine runs strong and has been used very little since built. The new motor (just over 500 miles on it) was built right, with 1387 AFR aluminum heads, SRP forged pistons, with a very streetable 9.2 compression ratio, roller rockers and roller cam, for ease of mind after long storage periods. There is an Edelbrock Performer manifold and Mallory distributor with MSD ignition installed. The Tremec 5 speed manual transmission, with Hurst shifter, shifts smooth, with new Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. This car has a Motorsports 5 bolt 8.8" Traction Lock rear axle (3:55) w/ stainless Steel upper and lower control arms. There are no unusual noises or vibrations when running or driving. All of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems appear to be working properly.
The exterior is in great condition with bright and shiny red paint with racing stripes. There is only a few minor rock chips in the hood hard to see in photo. Windshield is brand new. The windshield new and all chrome framed with Lexan wings. The trim is in excellent shape. There is a chrome roll bar over the drivers side that looks sharp. The body is made of hand laid fiberglass that is steel reinforced. Exact replica 427 Cobra emblems are installed on the front half. The tonneau cover is in excellent condition, ready to install, with no rips or tears in the fabric. All of the exterior components are complete and working properly. This car is even registered as a 1966 assembled vehicle due to it's similarity to the original. Historic plates and reduced registration fees are also part of the bargain! Try to find that on another replica!
The interior is in great condition with minimal wear. Carpets, door panels and dash are all in great condition. The black leather seats are in great condition with no visible wear. There are 5 point professional harness seat belts installed that look and work great. There is a nice set of 6 VDO gauges installed in the dash, including speedometer, tachometer, fuel, oil pressure, water, and battery. There are no unusual smells or odors in this vehicle.
The engine compartment, undercarriage and trunk are clean and complete. The drive train is like new with many exact Cobra stylish features including the chrome side pipes with exhaust baffles, Cobra Billet Aluminum air cleaner, Deep billet aluminum oil pan, Ford Motorsports valve covers and much more. Other features include MSD ignition, Mallory distributor and super coil, electric fan, Road Demon carburetor, battery disconnect, and much more. The truck is completely finished and carpeted. There are no signs of rust or corrosion anywhere.
Wheels and Tires are in great condition. There is a set of Compomotive spinner wheels installed on this car with no major apparent scuffs. The wheels are wrapped in a set of BFG tires on the front and rear.
This is a truly exceptional vehicle and an outstanding value, ready for a cruise in the Hill Country or a place at the car show!
