Description: This stunning 289 FIA COBRA recreation by William Noel of Massachusetts, and the ERA cobra company. This car was conceived by design, to be an exacting replica...to the last nut and bolt of the CSX2323, the car driven in the 1964 Targa Florio by Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant. The car has only 1200 miles on it since it was completed and titled in 2004. Local and show miles only... ERA replicas have become the standard by which all others are judged. The quality engineering has earned them an unmatched reputation. Many will tout Superformance, and Kirkham, but none compete with ERA. It's the Rolls Royce of Cobra Recreations.

Bill Noel of North Hampton, Massachusetts was determined to build the finest FIA replica that money could buy. His mission was to start with an original 289 HiPo motor from 1964....blueprinted it from top to bottom, and topped with an awesome set of weber 48 IDA Carbureters. Bill was more than meticulous...it took him four years to complete the project. Upon close inspection, one will find only the best and most accurate fittings and parts on this classic.

-pin drive aluminum wheels, hubs and hardware

-Independent rear suspension (ERA design) w/outboard brakes

-Limited slip rear end with 3.54:1

-Oversize front brakes, 12"x1.25" rotor with Wilwood calipers

-Front and rear coil over dampers w/springs, height adjustable

-Front and rear anti sway bars

-Tremic TKO Five Speed Transmission

-Powder coated frame, roll bar, etc.

-Oil cooler and "Oversize" Cobra oil pan

-Four point restraint seat belts

-Original Lucas Tripode headlamps w/stone guards

-Lucas fog lamps

-MSD Ignition Module

-Original Maui Blue/Red Nose Stripe combination to match the Gurney Cobra

-Custom fabricated fiberglass hardtop with plexis-brass windows...(THIS TOP IS BEYOND RARE...YOU WILL FIND NO OTHER SURVIVORS)

When we bought this classic from Mr. Noel, I located the gentlemen in Pennsylvania, whom at one time, custom made the FIA hardtops. Back in the day, they were much sought after...but in more recent years, collectors seemed to not want the "Bonnet" on their roadsters. When I contacted him, he stated that he'd stopped making them well over 15yrs ago. When asked if he might find a used one, he had no answers. I thought I was out of luck. But, before hanging up the phone, he stated that he did, in fact, had his "Original Proto-Type Mold" that was used as his master guide for all the others he produced. To be able to purchase the original protoype unit, was simply fantastic. A one in a million find. We bought the top...refitted it with all new plexi-glas and brass fasteners, had it painted to match the car.

This fine automobile of offered with an aggressive "Buy it Now" price of only $65,000.00. A fraction of a real 1964 FIA Cobra.
