I have a red Shelby Cobra replica for sale. I believe it was built by B&B roadsters. There were at least 2 owners before me so I'm not sure exactly when it was built. It has a worked up SVO 351W with a top loader 4 speed and 4.11 rear gears. I bought the car to drive and I've put 4k or 5k miles on it since i bought it just over 2 years ago. (It had 5200 or 6200 when i bougth it i dont remember which tho) it has under 11k miles on it now but that could change since i drive it alot. i didnt have much time to post this ad but i'll try to include as many details as i can about the Cobra.
First we'll go with THE BAD:
The paint has 2 or 3 minor blemishes but you don't notice until youre right up next to the car. There is a very slight leak somewhere in the clutch hydraulics. I have to refill the clutch master cylinder reservoir 3 or 4 times a year. I noticed this morning that the radiator is leaking antifreeze. The carpeting on the interior shows some wear. And rarely the engine occassionally acts up. Im not a mechanic and not sure what the problem is but the problem usually doesnt last long. For example it shut off twice on a 15 mile trip I did. pulled over both times. turned the key and it fired right back up. not sure what the issue is. the car also has no top.
The GOOD:
Altho I dont take it to shows often, it was won 4 or 5 awards at a few shows I've taken it to. It always draws a crowd where ever I take it. I get asked all the time if its a real Shelby. Altho it does have the few minor paint blemishes, the car shines up very nice. I have never raced it. I was at SAAC-37 so I've witnessed some real Cobras cruising around and am happy to say mine sounds very much like the real ones. Even tho I've only let it rip a very few times to stretch its legs, it is VERY fast. I get asked all the time to take people on rides in it and that even includes complete strangers. There's so many more good things I could say about it but I gotta wrap this up.
My house is about 2.5 hours from where SAAC-37 was and I was planning on taking the Cobra up there, but the weather was calling for thundershowers all day so I took my daily driver up there instead. i've taken it on a few longer trips with no worries. all my friends and family are pleading with my not to sell it but i am planning on moving in the near future and that would include purchasing a house so selling the Cobra would make that much easier. i am asking $28000. i did get an offer not too far from that already, but im pretty sure that guy is going to just buy it and let it sit in his garage with his other cars. i wanted to post it on here before i made my decision. i'm hoping to sell it to someone who will drive it and appreciate it as much as i have. im located in northeastern pennsylvania and will gladly send more photos of it via email. if you have any questions or want to make an offer, please email me at TNERB_CL@yahoo.com. thanks
