Superformance 'Roadster-version' Cobras—patterened after the original 'Street Version' 427 Cobras—are fitted with undercar/rear exit exhaust rather than sidepipes. The rear exit exhaust provides a throaty exhaust note while freeing the occupants to actually have a conversation while driving... this in addition to the advantages with no leg burns and no exhaust fumes entering the cockpit while idling at traffic lights and parking lots.
Engine: 351W/423 hp Ford V8 [seasoned, pre-1976 casting, thermal-cleaned, shot-blasted and magnafluxed; align-honed and Tru-Decked, brass freeze plugs installed; oil passage mods for better oil flow; computer-balanced rotating assembly; bored 0.030" over].
Engine built with: factory-forged connecting rods fitted with ARP bolts; Speed-Pro forged aluminum pistons and Speed-Pro plasma moly rings, new high-performance harmonic balancer, Edelbrock 'Performer RPM' heads, Comp Cams 'Xtreme Energy' hydraulic cam & lifters, Melling hi-perf oil pump, MSD ignition ensemble, matching cast aluminum Cobra valve covers and air cleaner, silver-ceramic–coated headers and exhaust, and much, much more. Dyno-tested [results: 423 hp @ 5,900 rpm/ 404 ft./lbs. torque @3,900 rpm]; you get the dyno documentation.
Drivetrain: Lakewood steel scattershield bellhousing, steel/SFI-approved flywheel, 5-speed Tremec #4615 transmission, Ford/Dana Hydratrack traction-lock IRS [3.46:1 ratio]. The 351 Windsor engine along with the other attributes of a Superformance Roadster results in a very performance-balanced sports car. Factory-built chassis.
Wheels. Tire, suspension and brakes: Bilstein coil-over shock and H&R springs, Wilwood 4-piston calipers. Halibrand-style aluminum wheels shod with BF Goodrich Radial T/A rubber [P255/60Rx15" front; P275/60Rx15" rear].
Interior: 'Legend-correct' Smiths Instruments gauges and Lucas toggle switches, electrical kill switch, premium black German leather upholstery, shoulder harnesses (for both driver and passenger), chromed halon fire extinguisher, locking glovebox, SC instrument layout pattern (and with reverse-reading speedometer).
Accessories: sunvisors, passenger-side rearview mirror, black tonneau cover, soft top, side curtains, and heater/defroster.
Other: clear bra, Original owner, garaged and meticulously maintained. Never damaged and displays virtually no wear. Clear Pennsylvania title. Only 6,936 miles (11,000 km).
