Contemporary Cobra Serial No. 3078
This Cobra was built in 1987-88 and is titled as a 1966 with less than 6000 miles on the car. The car had sat in storage (the previous owner would start and run the car periodically) for a number of years when I bought it two years ago. It is in overall good condition. The car was very well assembled and is clean and the paint is driver quality and very presentable. The engine is a built SBC coupled to a T10 transmission (4 spd) and runs very strong. A new Fluidyne aluminum radiator has been added with electric cooling fan. It has the Jaguar front and rear suspension using Koni shocks and front torsion bar suspension. The suspension was rebuilt, replacing all the original bushings with polyurethane. The rear swing arms have been strengthened and solid bronze bushings were used in the rear hub and dog bone pivot points. The Watts Linkage kit from Acton Custom Enterprises was installed to help with wheel hop and help triangulate the swing arms. The rear end was disassembled, inspected (found in good condition) and reassembled with all new seals. I replaced the original pedal setup with a Tilton package with braided SS brake lines. The front calipers are Wilwood with drilled and slotted rotors and the rear uses the larger (front) Jaguar (Girling) calipers with drilled and slotted rotors as well. The wheels are Halibrand style, bolt on (5 lug) with knock-off style center caps.
Overall it is a very nice driver. Asking $23,500 OBO.
The car is located in Knoxville, TN. I’ll be happy to provide more details or answer any questions. Feel free to call me at 865-966-8413 between 6 & 9 pm EST or email me at tbramsey0404@yahoo.com.
