Description: Roush 427 SRTW polished crate engine. Number 808. Fully rebuilt after 13,000. Dynoed at 440/460 hp/tq (around 540/570 at the crank) at the wheels after rebuild. Much stronger than it ever was. Includes new clutch and flywheel. New parts include pistons, rings, valves, guides, springs, seals, all bearings, oil pump, alternator, water pump, distributor camshaft and lifters. Stock 770 Street Avenger was replaced with a ProSystems 850 DP. The shop that rebuilt it (here in San Diego) will guarantee it for a year if they do the install. This engine has been painstakenly rebuilt using better than original parts. It is a fire breather. I ordered a new, more docile, engine from Brent Lykins in March and it is due to be delivered in a couple of weeks. This engine is still in my car and will be professionally removed and crated for delivery once the new engine arrives. I have video and pics available.

NuBie here, Engine looks great, I am looking at Purchasing a BackDraft due to the extra space in the cockpit. If you dont mind me asking, Whats the reason you are switching out engines as I was looking at going with a 427R. Does Brent Lykins do good work?

Are you sure you want a 427R and not the SR? The R is much more high strung. Not the best choice for a street car. The SR has a dual plane intake and isn't cammed as wild as the R is. The SR is a superb street engine. Still makes gobs of power, but can also cruise at 1800 rpm without bucking. Brent makes an excellent high performance engine. I wanted one with a few more horses, as I am thinking of racing this engine.
