My Type 65 FFR Coupe #356 is for sale. It has seen track experience on Daytona, Sebring, Road Atlanta and Gainesville. It is a non-donor build, as all the early coupes were, including aluminum radiator, 16 gallon fuel tank, Ford Racing GT rims, 3.73 ratio. Tremec TKO 3550 transmission with midshift position, Engine Factory built motor 302/350 hp, front sump, Billett Flywheel, Lakewood scattershield housing on transmission, heavy duty clutch, pressure plate and bolt kit, mini hi tech starter on 157 tooth flywheel, 18 mpg on the highway, 10-12 on the track. All electronic gauges with GPS speedometer with numerous functions and a brand new electronic speedometer as well. This car was featured in the Sports Car Digest in 2012 at Sebring along with a 66 Mustang GT 350. I have several videos of the car on the tracks listed. The car has custom leather seats with pump up lumbar supports and a set of Kirkey racing seats as well. Kirkey seats were in the car first so all the holes are drilled and fitted. It features a retractable shoulder harness-lap belt combination for easy and quick use. It has a leather wrapped steering wheel, rear spoiler molded into body not riveted on, aluminum splash guards all around, back up lights under car, third tail light neatly tucked under tail spoiler, Lexan panel across the back of the seat area to keep the cool air-conditioned air in the seating area and a new compressor for the A/C. It also has the Russ Thompson pontoon covers for a neat appearance under the hood, extended inner fender wells in the front, tow bar mounted to frame so it can be towed if needed through the nose opening, power steering cooler, custom side pipes with less restriction, custom interior with door pockets and lightly padded dash and visors. Fully padded roll cage, padded roof inside, custom mirror on windshield with map light, door openers, interior lights, electronic door openers as well as manual latches, and this car was the center area featured car in the FFR Coupe book, removable race decals are static cling but USA rear sticker and Daytona script on fender are adhesive but removable if needed, new battery in October, 2014. All receipts over $54,000 but for sale at $49000.
This car is painted 1996 Ford Taurus Silver Frost Metallic with 1996 Ford Gloss black stripes and clear coated. This is my third Cobra reproduction since 2002. I built a roadster then sold it and purchased a Superformance hard top roadster, then sold it and bought this one two years ago. It is by far the best handling of the cars (like a slot car on the track). It is gently used but not abused. My plans are to continue track events with my Jaguar XK until I can afford a Ford GT in a few years. If you want a car everyone wishes they owned-this is the one.
