Description: ERA 289 FIA SN2062 offers a unique combination of street and high performance options. For the street: Smiths gauges, leather drop dash with clock and locking glove box, leather seats, wool carpets, wind wings, sun visors, front grill, front and rear nudge bar bumpers, a heater, top, tonneau cover, and spare tire. High performance options include: 9 quart Canton oil pan, oil cooler, close ratio Toploader transmission, ERA optional aluminum differential assembly with outboard brakes, large front rotors and 4 piston Wilwood Superlite calipers, roll bar, and pin drive wheels.
SN 2062 was built at ERA as a street version of the FIA, and delivered to its first owner in 2001. The original build cost was $64,000. It was purchased by the current owner (3rd) in 2005, with 1500 miles on the odometer. The car currently has 21,200 miles on the odometer and is in excellent condition. Registered in RI as a 1963 Ford Roadster. Georgia titled as a 1963 Ford Cobra.
Engine
Mid-sixties 289 block stroked to 331 cu. In. by Danbury Competition Engines, Danbury, CT. Eagle rods, Elgin E989 hydraulic cam, World Products Windsor Jr. heads, 9.9:1 compression ratio.
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold mounting a Holley 4150 600 cfm double pumper with electric choke.
Ceramic coated exhaust headers, dual 2” undercar exhaust with Dynomax performance mufflers, exhaust outlet in front of each rear wheel.
Canton 9 qt. fully baffled oil pan with high capacity Melling oil pump.
Engine dyno results: 356 HP @ 5600 RPM and 356 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4400 RPM.
Electrical
MSD 6AL Ignition Controller, MSD billet distributor, MSD Blaster 2 Coil. OPTIMA Battery, hidden, keyed master battery cut off switch.
Drivetrain
Rebuilt Toploader Close Ratio 4 speed transmission with original 289 Cobra style shifter w/operational reverse lockout. Lakewood Scattershield Bellhousing.
Front Suspension: Unequal A Arm, SPAX shocks and Eibach coil over springs.
Rear Suspension: Jaguar Salisbury IRS mounted in an optional custom ERA aluminum subframe with outboard brakes. LSD differential with Dana 44 gears, 3.54:1 ratio. SPAX shocks and Eibach coil over springs.
Brakes/Hubs/Wheels
Dual Tilton master cylinders
Front: Wilwood Superlite billet 4 piston calipers with 12.2” dia x 1.25” thick vented rotors. Hawk HPS brake pads. 6-pin knock off hubs. Trigo 15” x 7.5” FIA wheels, cast aluminum. Stainless steel knockoffs.
Rear: Corvette (PBR) single piston calipers with 11.5” dia vented rotors. Hawk HPS brake pads. 6-pin knock off hubs. Trigo 15” x 9.5” FIA wheels, cast aluminum. Stainless steel knockoffs.
Hankook Ventus H101 tires 265x50x15 all four corners (less than 4000 miles).
Cockpit
Red leather seats with matching dash and door panels, red wool carpet. Optional drop dash with Smiths gauges w/counter-clockwise speedo (Lucas ammeter), and Smiths clock. Ashtray and locking glove box as on original street cars. Original type wind wings and sun visors. Heater/defroster. 3” competition 4 point seat belts. 16” wood Moto Lita steering wheel. Chrome roll bar.
Trunk
Vinyl soft top with metal support frame as in original. Side curtains w/ sliding window. Tonneau Cover. Spare Tire, jack, lead hammer, safety wire tool.
Paint
2001 Jaguar color: Westminster Blue (a dark, non-metalic blue) base coat, clear coat. Paint has some chips and “road rash” as would be expected for 21,000 mile, but is a very presentable, professional paint job.
Extras
Additional parts, (3) sets of wheels, 15” leather steering wheel, full undercar rear exit exhaust, adjustable Kirkey aluminum racing seat, bolt on hubs, spare rotors, pads, etc., available at prices as may be mutually agreed.
