AUTHENTIC, very rare and desirable 1963 / 1964 Shelby American Race Team jacket. originally owned by Ron Stoke, of the Coventry Motors Team. Jacket is signed on the inside by Carroll Shelby, is in good condition and size 40 - medium. One of Coventry Motors' Cobras (CSX 2128) can be seen on the back cover of Dave Friedman's 1994 book, "Shelby Cobra" - "The Shelby American Original Archives 1962 - 1965" and on the cover of The Ripchords' "Hey Little Cobra" 1964 music hit album. 1995 COBRA DAYTONA COUPES BOOK - 43 (PLUS ONE) AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES
AUTHENTIC, very rare and desirable 1995 Stauffer Publishing #175 / 400 Limited Signature Edition book. This book may be a "one-off" in that it also contains the added signature of Lew Spencer, who competed in the 1964 Daytona Race with Dave MacDonald in a Shelby Daytona Coupe. Apparently, when the book was published, Carroll Shelby had a disagreement with Lew Spencer and he was not invited to sign the book with all the other Daytona racers. I obtained his signature at a Shelby American Collection Event in 2006. The book is in excellent condition and includes a dust cover and hard cover book enclosure. (NOTE: an amazing addition to this book would be the authentic signature of Ken Miles, probably the most famous Shelby Cobra racer, who was killed test driving a Ford J-Car in 1966.
I will also be auctioning a Shelby American, Inc., October 2, 1963 paycheck payable to Ken Miles, personally signed (endorsed) by him.)
1963 SHELBY AMERICAN, INC. PAYCHECK TO KEN MILES
AUTHENTIC, extremely rare and desirable paycheck for $1,175.00 from Shelby American, Inc to their racer and test car driver, Ken Miles. He was probably the single most valuable driver for Carroll Shelby, he won in everything from Cobras to GT40s. He was responsible for the Cobra 427 conception and the development of the Sunbeam Tiger. Miles was killed in 1966 testing the new Ford J-Car, anticipated successor to the Ford GT40. The check is dated October 2, 1963 and personally signed (endorsed) by him with a Bank of American perforation showing "PAID 10 7 63". Check is in excellent condition.

1994 EDITION - SHELBY COBRA BY AND SIGNED BY DAVE FRIEDMAN
The Shelby Cobra is a car of legend, and like many legends, its story is made of hearsay, myth and tall tales. The first cars were built in the back of a hot-rod shop by a gang of talented California racers; no one at the time thought they were making history, and so no one kept a historical record of the goings-on at Shelby-American, Inc. No one, that is, except photographer Dave Friedman.
Friedman worked at Shelby American during the years 1962-1965 as the company and race team photographer, shooting production pictures, advertising photos, progress photos of ongoing projects, the official homologation photos, racing pictures and much more. SHELBY COBRA: The Shelby American Original Archives 1962-1965 is a collection of more than 270 photographs, brochures, race programs, posters and Shelby memorabilia that tells the inside story of how the Shelby team built its production cars and went racing. The book is in excellent condition with 168 pages of incredible photographs and narrative. It also contains the original signature of Cobra racer, Allen Grant.
1997 EDITION - SHELBY AMERICAN RACING HISTORY BY DAVE FRIEDMAN

Cobras, King Cobras, Daytona Coupes, GT350s, Sunbeam Tigers, GT40s and Trans Am Mustangs dice with Ferraris, Chaparrals, Porsches, Camaros and more. A superb record of sports car racing in the 1960s. The book is in excellent condition.
1996 EDITION - COBRA THE REAL THING BY TREVOR LEGATE

The Cobra's evolution from the original prototype to today's Cobra is described in detail, including its international racing history.
