ERA Cobra 427 S/C chassis #061. Purchased as a roller (SII) in 1983. Florida located with clear title. Current odometer 13,050 miles. Recent red with clearcoat no stripes.
Ford cast iron 427 sideoiler with medium riser iron heads. All parts in this motor are standard. Standard cylinder bore with Ford pistons. LeMans rods on a crossdrilled LeMans crankshaft. All standard clearances. Ford sidewinder intake manifold with a Holly 3418-1 carburetor. COBRA 427 aluminum finned valve covers. Turkey pan. K&N X-Streme air filter. Remote oil filter with a NASCAR oil cooler. Gated and baffled aluminum finned oil pan with windage tray. Schieffer aluminum flywheel and Lakewood blowproof bell housing. Ford toploader with Hurst comp shifter. ERA jag modified rear with (as I remember) 3:31 gears.
Halibrand repro knockoffs with 15” Goodyear billboards. Battery in the trunk. Fresh carpets.
My appraisal. Paint is a 9 out of 10 with minor imperfections if you scrutinize the car.
