NOTE: This ad has been revised, please read this paragraph first... Many hours were invested to write this description and take/upload over 100 photographs, so please take a few minutes to review everything before inquiring. I'm helping a friend who is dealing with multiple family health issues and doesn't have the time to do this. We decided this thoroughly descriptive listing was the best way to reach serious buyers. As you will discover below this is no ordinary Cobra build and we are looking for a conscientious buyer who understands the difference between this car and the majority. We had 2 buyers in 2019 that were not able to follow through with the transaction, as a result we lost 2 legitimate buyers in the process and that is disappointing considering the circumstances mentioned above, so please, serious buyers only, thank you.
History:
This is one of the best and most meticulous built 1964 ERA 289 FIA Cobra's in existence and it’s in near flawless condition. This was a Grandfather/Father/Son project that started in 2001-2003 built by professional metal fabricator and generations of motoring enthusiasts (the Grandfather/Fabricator passed away September 2018). It took 15 months and 2000 hours labor for the initial build (approximately 33 hours a week) and another 15 years and 4000 hours labor to perfect (approximately 22 hours a month). That is a total of 6000 hours labor of perfectionism not found in most builds. It would cost approximately $90,000 to have ERA attempt to build equivalent and it still would not have the OCD factor. There are countless improvements throughout the vehicle that most ERA cars don't have. Everything about this build is tight, precise, right, and it drives beautifully. Truly turn-key with no excuses.
