Description:
|
This Shelby Cobra Replica was produced by Backdraft Racing in 2008. Power is from a small block 427ci V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in black with grey stripes over a matching interior. Additional equipment includes BMW-style e36 M3 independent suspension, Halibrand-style wheels, side pipes, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, a Quick Fuel carburetor, an electric water pump, an external oil cooler, and a limited-slip differential. This Cobra replica is offered with spare parts, service records, and clean PA Titled as a 1965 Ford.
The composite body is finished in black with grey ghost stripes and features a single roll hoop, quick-jack bumpers, and side pipes. Sideview mirrors are mounted on the windshield frame. There are dings in the paint from rocks.
Halibrand-style 17 inch; knock-off wheels are mounted with staggered-width Nitto tires showing 2013 date codes.
The interior features bucket seats upholstered in grey leather with black piping, including an adjustable driver’s seat. Additional amenities include a Moto-Lita steering wheel and VDO instrumentation as well as an amplifier and a JVC stereo with USB input mounted in the trunk. The digital odometer is over 16k miles and climbing as I’m still enjoying the car!
The 427ci V8 stroker is reportedly a 560-horsepower Smeding Performance crate engine that features a 351 Dart block, aluminum AFR 205 cylinder heads, forged pistons, and a roller camshaft. An oil cooler with braided lines is said to have been added within the past year. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed T56 manual transmission and a BMW limited-slip differential with 3.91:1 gears. Additional drivetrain components include:
• Quick Fuel 750cfm carburetor
• Edelbrock intake manifold
• Powermaster alternator
• CSR Performance electric water pump
• Electric cooling fan with manual override
• Quick Time steel bellhousing
• Ceramic-coated exhaust headers
Extra lights, an ignition coil, heat shields, and other spare parts are included in the sale along with service records. Car is in Montgomery Country Pennsylvania
