This Shelby Cobra Replica was manufactured by B & B Manufacturing. I am the original owner. I chose B & B because they offered a strong built car that had the same proportions as the original car (original size and wheelbase) and at a not overly inflated price (my opinion). They had a lot of favorable reviews on Cobra Forum. It is titled as a 1965 Ford, so there are no pollution restrictions on it.
Powered by a Ford 428 FE engine, built by Roland Kenske Racing. The engine is mated to a TKO 600 5 speed transmission with a Ford 9” limited slip differential with 4:11 gears. Manual 4 wheel disc brakes with a line lock. Steering is also manual with wood rimmed steering wheel. Tubular front and rear suspension with Carrera adjustable coil over shocks. Five point seat harness. The wheels are 17” pin drive style manufactured by PS Engineering, 17 x 8 in front and 17 x 9.5 in the rear. As mentioned earlier, the engine was built by Roland Kenske manufacturing. The block was bored .01”, ported and polished Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum heads, Diamond pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, Eagle crank, ARP bolts, Comp solid roller cam, Dove roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum water pump, 4 core radiator, dual speed electric puller fan, MSD ignition w/rev limiter, Ford 427 2 x 4 Aluminum intake manifold. FiTech 2 x 4 EFI recently installed and tuned. I also have two Holley carburetors that powered the car for a couple of years which were new when purchased.
This car is very fast (actually a little too fast for me) and a lot of fun to drive. It was recently tuned and has just under 400RWHP/400lb/ft of torque. That would work out to over 450 At the crank. The car was dyno tuned at 5700’, at sea level you can expect 15-18% more power. It can be a handful due to it's power, low weight (2600#), and short wheelbase (90”).
Items to finish the car. The body has to be prepped for painting (sanding and a few small fiberglass blemishes). The interior and trunk kits need to be installed. I have the kits for those. I would get new rubber seals for the trunk, hood and doors.
