Description:
|
This is a Lone Star Classics reproduction '65 Cobra built from the ground up by my late father.
Vehicle has been on the road only 4 times for shakedown of problems. Vehicle is powered by a mean Chevy sm block 350 that is putting out an estimated 350-400 horsepower.
Vehicle is approximately 90% complete and has never been registered. I have a file of the receipts and legal documents.
Vehicle is cross-posted.
Email me your questions.
Vehicle specs:
A LoneStar Classics Inc. 1965 Cobra Replica kit car Model #LS427 -- Purchased in 2014. I have MOST, IF NOT ALL, receipts. Vehicle has "Certificate of Origin" from LoneStar Classics. Car has NEVER been registered. This monster of a road-shredding muscle car has been on the road 3 separate times. It has less than 1 hour on the engine. Car is not yet complete as it needs a going through the installation of the "Painless Performance Products" wiring harness (while energized one of the fuses continues to blow; this needs to be troubleshooted). The engine was professional built by Gary's Automotive Machine in Alamogordo, New Mexico (have receipt). Engine specs: Chevy 350 small block rated just under 400hp, block decked, cylinders ground and honed, rotating assembly balanced, crank ground and polished, Brodix aluminum heads resurfaced and mated to Brodix aluminum intake with a Holley 700CFM double-pumper carb. Engine has Brodix aluminum valve covers, a mild camshaft (sounds great), an MSD Pro-Billet distrubutor (#8361) and MSD 6A ignition box (#6201). Spark is protected by MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor spark plug wires. Wires at the spark plugs are protected by fiberglass spark plug boots. Engine cooling handled by Afco aluminum racing radiator. Loud exhaust is handled by headers coming off the heads then routed through 3" side pipes with heat guards (definitely needed since I've been burned twice with the 2nd time getting infected). Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission mounted with a Hurst straight shifter. At the rear end is a Ford 9" rear end with 4-link setup (very strong to control the power to the ground) with a super set of 4.10:1 gears for that quick launch. Stopping power is provided by Wildwood Disc brakes in quad-piston configuration with 12.7" drilled/slotted rotors for superior braking performance. Wheels and tires as described: Front wheels are black American Racing Equipment 10-spoke wheels in 17" (7x9) with brand new Nexen N3000 performance tires in 275/40ZR17. Rear wheels are matching black American Racing Equipment 10-spoke wheels with Nitto NT555 performance tires in 315/35/ZR17. Occupants strapped in with dual 5 point 3" wide racing harnesses. Driver has a quick-release steering wheel just in case quick exit is required. Vehicle has no radio, no heater, no A/C, no top. Fiberglass body is straight. Doors are fiber-glassed in permanently shut configuration. Occupants must enter car Nascar style (ie carefully over the top of the door ledge). Driver and passenger protected by individual rollbar loops directly behind occupant seats. Paint is BRIGHT YELLOW Axalta 2-stage paint with 4 minor paint blemishes, which may or may not need attention per the potential buyer.
