Description: 1965 Emerson Motorsports Cobra SB · Convertible · Driven 650 miles

Checking to see if there’s any interest in my Emerson Cobra. Performance 351 Windsor with Pro Comp heads, Ford 8.8 rear end, 5 speed manual. Racing carburetor built by a Nascar mechanic legend. Front oil cooler and large radiator fan. Wilwood pedals and brakes. Everything is custom. Car was hand built from the ground up by Bill Emerson. Mine is the only standard size Cobra that Bill Emerson ever built, purposely for AutoX and daily driving. The engine was mounted as low and as far back as possible to keep the car perfectly balanced. Most Cobras have a ton of oversteer but with this car built to handle its extremely predictable in a slide. I took this car to two autoX events before it was painted and had the interior installed for shakedown tests. It performed amazing and I posted in the top 3 fastest times of the day against all cars. The car has custom Emerson designed suspension with compression and rebound adjustable shocks. Other kit Cobra's do not handle like this Emerson car and need extreme modifications to keep up. The only part of the car that wasn't hand built was the fiberglass body. The body originally came from a kit but was modified to Emerson standards with an aggressive and functional hood scoop. The Roll bar is 1/4 tubular steel and is bolted to the frame. So if you flip the car it will actually save your life. Car was painted in Ford Magnetic with black accents. The black accents are coated in KG Nano series paints. Its a firearms coating that is extremely tough and resistant to all chemical solvents. I also have another set of wheels that are the same style just powder coated flat black. They have never been mounted since coated and are like new. It has Emerson insulated side pipes that only heat up to around 185 deg on the outside so no burning the skin off your legs in the summer. Car is titled/plated here in Ca as a 1965. My story is the classic one where once the car was finally built I’ve lost interest in it and moved on to other projects. Im getting older and don't like the attention that comes with this car. You can't go anywhere without people hooting and hollering or wanting to talk about the car. I drove it around twice last year so I just don’t use it enough to justify keeping it. Car has been started once a month to keep it happy! I may accept partial trades for modern vehicles plus cash, 4x4 diesel van, C7-C8 corvette. This car was just finally finished a year ago and has been extensively gone through. This is not a kit, but rather a custom built car that is not only fast but safe. I have around 90K into this car and only asking 68K obo. Thanks for looking.
