Description: Hey all,

I'm ready for something new. I'm looking to trade my 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback for a ready to run Cobra replica. If you're interested in such a trade, let me know and we'll talk it over. Here's a video of the car:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wefPjZzFAy0

The complete restoration was performed by HAF Automotive in Houston, TX. The car has new floors and cowling and the doors, fenders, and hood were replaced with rust-free OEM sheet metal - no reproduction sheet metal on this baby! It's painted in the ORIGINAL Acapulco Blue and the interior is done in black (originally blue but was changed to match ProCar SCAT seats).

The car has a 302 roller engine from The Engine Factory with a full Edelbrock package putting out 373hp and 340ft-lb. It's backed by a Tremec 5 speed transmission, hydraulically actuated clutch, and a Ford 9" with a 3.7:1 gearing. It's also got a Griffin aluminum radiator.

It's got stock discs in front and Lincoln Versailles discs in the back. A Flaming River steering box replaced to original. Suspension was dropped about 1.5" front and rear.

It has aftermarket in-dash AC.

The Styled Steel wheels are actually 15" rather than the stock 14" and simply look and perform better as a result.

The car looks almost as it came form the factory, but the mechanical upgrades make it a much more fun - and safe - driver and show car.

The car is currently in Houston, TX.

What value are you placing on the Mustang?

It was appraised in the mid-$30Ks but that was before the market bottomed out. That's the real reason that I'd rather trade than sell and buy. @ Lawrence - I'll take a look. Thanks!

Hello again all.

The Mustang has been delieverd to Thunderbirds Southwest in LaGrange, Texas where it's on consignment. The proprietor has yet to post the ad online, but he's done a full assessment and appraisal and recommended a price of $35K.

As such, I'm looking for a Cobras of comparable value with the understanding the the Mustang is an appreciating asset while the Cobra is probably a depreciating one (with exceptions, of course).

My one absolute must-have is the ability to fit in a Cobra with modest modifications. At 6'4", I fit in some better than others (SPFs with dropped footboxes will work, for example). I know that just about any trade will require me to make small mods such as removing seat padding (or replacing the seat entirley). If interested, the best bet is to tell me what make you've got and I'll do the research required to see if I'll fit!

Thanks again for all the interest.
