Up for consideration is my Factory Five, MKIV Shelby Cobra replica. This Cobra was completed in 2020, has approximately 3,600 meticulously kept miles and has only had one owner.
The car is finished in the special order color of Carmine Red by Porsche, accented with Magic Black stripes and has been 'blacked out' with all wheels and accented pieces powder coated in black. The car is powered by a Blueprint 427 V8 engine (DART block) that has been dyno'd at 508HP and 500 ft/lbs of torque at 6100 RPM. A Quickfuel 750 carburetor, Aeromotive fuel system and Mike Forte mechanical throttle linkage upgrades, enables this car to have smooth, quick starts and performance as if it were fuel injected. A hot cam gives this car a powerful lope and makes a noticeable entrance to any car show. The engine is mated to a Tremec 600, 5-speed manual transmission with Mike Forte hydraulic clutch. All wire linkages have been removed, replaced with hydraulic systems for better function and reliability. Power steering box with upgraded SS flex hoses rounds out the engine bay. Suspension consists of KONI adjustable coil overs in the front with a Ford IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) in the rear to give a modern feel, comfortable ride and higher performance. The car sits on 17" wheels, with Nitto 255/40ZR17's in the front and a meaty 315/35ZR17s in the rear. This Cobra was assembled with all new drive train and suspension components, with ZERO donor parts.
The interior has fixed black bucket seats that are angled to give more comfort for everyone, including larger drivers. Black carpeting throughout with billet clutch, brake and accelerator pedals, as well as a diamond plate floor for the driver for easier operation. Center console includes red stitched marine grade upholstery that accents a custom red/black leather shifter boot and Cobra shift knob with radio controls and cup holders. Dash has leather steering wheel with Cobra emblem, reverse sweep GPS enabled speedo with tach, gas, oil, temp and volt gauges. There is also a clock, horn, headlight, hazard and wiper switches with Russ Thompson turn signal upgrade. There are 6.5" marine rated speakers in the rear deck with discreet Marine rated head unit located inside the glove box. Cockpit is equipped with red Cipher 5-point cam lock harnesses, black custom door panels with speakers and fire extinguisher mounted in-between seats with a Drake quick release mount.
Exterior has SS black side pipes and headers that are ceramic coated to keep rust away from the inside out. Blacked out fender vents, tow hooks, windshield frame trim, turn single/brake light trim, hood/trunk handles and roll bar. 427 fender badges with Cobra wind deflectors, sun visors and blacked out racing fuel cap. Paint and body was completed by Mike Bowen of Spotlight Customs in GA, who specializes in Cobra bodies. A 4" black powder coated tubular frame rounds out the exterior by providing the most rigid and safe chassis in the business. The underside of this car is just as clean as the outside.
Additional upgrades include exhaust heat shields, complete trunk carpeting, custom black nose aluminum, front battery box relocation upgrade, radiator shroud and covers, Boig Cool Tubes, Breeze upper and lower radiator mounts, triple 1482 CNC brake/clutch reservoirs, seat belt and steering trim, parking brake, usb ports, billet round side mirrors from Dream Cars, Metco driveshaft safety strap and Kenwood Marine Amp and Polk Audio speakers. A new custom cover will also be included.

At 3,600 miles, this car has been run through very well, and has no leaks or performance issues. You won't find another like it with the color combination or feature upgrades that it offers. This Cobra has won best in show as well as top pick in holiday parades.
