This is a pair of real deal Italian Weber 48 IDA carburetors from the 1960's. The mounting feet of the carbs are stamped as follows: "48 IDA 4 1516" and "48 IDA 4 1556". These serial numbered carbs were made through late 1969. After that, Weber replaced the serial number stamp with a date code. These early model carbs can be quickly identified by the lack of the triangular bosses found on the sides of the main bodies on later carbs. These real deal early serial numbered carbs were rare when new and are nearly impossible to find today. These carbs are a must for a vintage race car or period correct build. Don't miss these rare early Italian Weber carbs.
These carbs are in very good original condition as shown. I see no breaks, repairs, or modifications to these carbs. The throttles move smoothly and snap back to the closed position as they should. All mixture screws turn smoothly. The carbs are free of pitting and have never been polished or otherwise altered. These are simply awesome original serial numbered Weber carbs.
