Brushed Aluminum Body on Black Interior

Arguably, the Kirkham Cobras are one of the finest crafted cars of its kind on the market. The skilled work of the aluminum body is spectacular as well as the attention to detail to the chassis work. It was this level of quality that attracted the owner of this car to Kirkam.
The owner used to work with Peter Brock at Shelby America in the mid-60’s as a designer and was responsible for designing the 427 coupe with Peter Brock. He became very intimate with the original CSX cars and always saw ways to improve them. As an amateur racer, his ideas of making a better handling Cobra continued to grow. Finally, with the introduction of Kirkham, he found the foundation to build his ideal Cobra. In fact, he loves these cars so much, that this is his 3rd one.
This particular 289 was ordered with all the goodies and would cost somewhere between $100,000 to $110,000 to recreate today. Options include:
Aluminum Body Finish: Brushed
4” Stainless Steel Frame
Heat Shield for Foot Boxes, Polished Stainless Steel
Ferrules, door, set of 8
Wheel Well Foam installed
Billet Aluminum Seat Tracks
Nylon Carpet installed
Sun Visors
Wind Wings
Billet Aluminum Pedal Assembly
Powder Coated Rear Bulkhead and Wheel Wells
15” Wood Steering Wheel
Leather Covered Dash
Fresh Air Ventilation System
Battery Sealed with Mounting Tray
Stainless Steering Shaft and U-Joints
Tremec Transmission Mounts
Tremec Shift Lever
Kirkham Aluminum Differential w/Mounts
Penske Coil-Over Suspension
Billet Brake and Clutch Reservoirs
Once the roller was delivered, the following drivetrain was installed:
1965 289 Block stroked to a 347: Blueprinted and balanced; 422hp and 388 lb. ft. tq.
Tremec 5 speed gearbox: TKO 600
Rear Axle: 3:43 LSD
Kirkham Aluminum Copy of Salisbury Axle
Extra Fuel Tank in car (427 style/below trunk) 30 gal. capacity total between both tanks
Furthermore, this car has already been registered and smog exempt in California. With the new SB100 law, it is getting more and more difficult to register your specialty car these days. So, why spend $10k to $20k, wait 1-2 years, and have to deal with the California DMV when you can get your 289 Kirkham today and at a great value price!
Obviously, the car is near perfect with no flaws. The original aluminum grill is being completed and will be delivered with the car as well as new visors and wing windows (at shop getting refinished).
All receipts and order information is included with the car as well as California registration paid until 2009!
