Description: Lonestar Classics 427 Shelby Cobra Replica, approximately 1500 miles. This vehicle sets itself apart from any other car on the road, turning heads on an exhilarating cruise or garnering all the attention at a show. Nothing evokes more emotion than the stylish lines of the body and the thrill you get as you hit the gas. This car is built to handle anything that suits your fancy be that racing, summer cruising, or entering the local car show. The rigid chassis and suspension is designed by Taylor Race Engineering utilizing 4”x2” box steel construction. Tubular unequal length upper and lower control arms riding on delrin bushings, straddle Aldan Eagle Adjustable Coil Over shocks on the front with steering provided by a Flaming River manual rack and pinion to turn the Goodyear Eagle F1 245/40ZR-17 tires with ease. The four link with panhard bar setup in the rear is fully adjustable in-situ and keeps the Currie 9” Ford rear end with 4.11 gears, 31 spline shafts, and limited slip differential in place with no binding. Aldan Eagle Adjustable Coil Over shocks tame the rear end and keep the Goodyear Eagle F1 315/35 ZR-17 tires on the pavement at all times. Boyd Coddington Smoothie II polished aluminum 17” rims dress out the vehicle on all four corners along with 11” Disc brakes.

The power plant of this beast was designed with torque and reliability in mind. This Ford 400M block has been blueprinted with the complete rotating assembly balanced and ARP fasteners keeping it together. 351C 2V Aussie heads dress out the top end with full competition porting, 2.19x1.71 Forged Stainless hi-flow valves, 1.7:1 Scorpion Billet Roller Rockers, Comp cams FC 280H-10 grind, hydraulic flat tappet lifters, and Holley 650 Four Barrel Double Pumper Carb with electronic choke. This engine has dyno’ed over 300 HP and over 400 ft/lbs of torque from 2000-5000 RPM, an experienced tuner could easily squeeze substantially more power out of this engine if desired. Jet (ceramic) coated headers and sidepipes let the exhaust breathe free while looking great. One listen and you will want this car in your garage to keep. Mcleaod high performance clutch, pressure plate, and hydraulic throw-out bearing couple the engine to the Tremec T-56 six speed manual transmission with short throw shifter.

The body of this car is made with 60oz vinyl ester resin and is structurally significant enough to support itself unlike other replicas on the market. The vinyl ester resin resists heat fatigue that leads other products to bubbling and cracking over time. This means that the impeccable Sonic Blue Pearl paint applied by renowned Cobra painter David Brady will look the same years down the road as it does now. The raised hood scoop not common to the original styling accommodates the engine and adds to an aggressive appearance that cannot be found on other replicas. The interior is sparse by modern standards but the high quality cut pile carpeting, leather bucket seats, Moto-lita steering wheel, Iditit triple chrome adjustable steering column, full complement of VDO gauges, and 5 point racing harnesses make it comfortable, clean, and functional.

This vehicle has 4” dropped seat pans that allow it to accommodate 6’ plus drivers with ease, a feature not found in other replicas. More than comfort, this allows the driver to view the road through the center of the windshield and not through the top of the frame. The bottom of this chassis has been flushed out and filled with sound deadening foam which considerably eliminates road noise. All wiring has been installed in looms and routed cleanly with substantial ground straps and terminal strips, you will never chase a stray ground on this vehicle or have “ghost” electrical issues. Sound engineering, performance, durability and aesthetics were used in the building of this vehicle beyond what is found in a replica that has been built according to the manual. Adjustable seat tracks and belts fastened to the frame rails instead of the 10 gauge seat pans, heim joint connections to all Tilton brake and clutch master cylinders, custom fabricated transmission crossmember to allow transmission removal with the body on. Excellence is found in the details and this car is a shining example of that.

Please respond for further details and build spec, serious inquiries only, asking $34,900 or best offer.

Note: This vehicle is exempt from emissions testing in Oregon when registered as a replica with an LEV exemption certificate.
