Unique Motorcars' rectangular frame in this car is 2" x 4" tubing cut and placed into a precision jig for MIG welding with no voids, no bubbles. Unique employs a special welding jig for their frames so that all frames are the exact clone of the previous one, or the next. Unique's frame is the strongest in the industry. The door hinges are fabricated from 1/4" steel plate, welded to two 1"x2" steel beams that run the entire length of each door. This makes for a very strong door assembly that won't sag over time. The frame has been powder-coated with show-car finish quality, and is easy to clean.
The rear: Jaguar IRS with a 3.54:1 ratio; as a consequence this little roadster handles nimbly and responsively like a 289 Cobra should... and the undercarriage is as beautiful as the superstructure.
Wheels, Tires, Brakes, Shocks: Trigo Wheels with center spinners and safety wire for that classic and period-correct look; it's fitted with Dunlap tires and Wilwood brakes up front. Carerra adjustble coilovers.
Excellent paint with a typical minor touch-up (normal wear) for 6000 mile car. One small (1/2” scratch on drivers side back fender. This top-end FIA is an example of a nimble and quick, driver-friendly, period-authentic 289 roadster.
Unique is one of the oldest-operating companies dedicated to the manufacture of premium 427 and 289FIA Cobra replicas since 1977.
