DV: thanks for the answer and insights.

UPDATE: I am so happy I could lay a golden egg it possible. the holley works perfect. dialed in the lower mixture, haven't set the float levels yet but it sure runs great. I drove it about another 5 miles today.

Why in the world anyone would want more than a mild 302 for a daily driver I would have no clue. This thing can get really scary really quick. This could get a inexperience driver, or some fella with more guts than brains in trouble real soon.

I am so glad I test fit those doors and left them on, makes you feel a little more comfortable driving it down the road.

Last part of mechanial to finish is to connect the power steering lines to the rack. I am not sure I have to do that prior to disassembly for paint.

I am trying to decide to just pull everything apart at once, or instead as I pull stuff off, clean and paint or powder coat it, bag it and then go to the next piece. I think I am leaning toward doing piece at a time, this way I do not have to have bunches of pieces around in the way. Once all that is left is the long block and trans in the car then they can come out and in about two days they can be done and then reassemble the accessories.

Today was a good day, quit early, gonna watch a movie and eat popcorn.
