Hey Dan, I have some pics of the rear braces installed if you need anything like that. The rear brace slips down inside the lower mount and goes by the top mount. Then it slips back up on the top mount pulling it up inside the lower mount. When that is in position you bolt through the lower mount and the rear brace. So short answer yes that bolt is in double shear and that's what holds it. The top mount of the rear brace should also be offset to the car center and the rear brace is close to a 45 deg angle installed. Let me know if you need any more pics or info on it Dan.
