Default Finally an official Cobra owner

Greetings everyone,

Just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself. My name is Joe, and I am from Minnesota, and I can now officially say that I am the owner of a Cobra, as it is now finally completed.

The day after thanksgiving I brought the cobra home and parked it in the garage... I got out and looked at it, and it finally hit me... its finally done, and this thing that was the ultimate mixture of beauty and beast was all mine : )

I took the car for the final test drive earlier that day (my second time driving it, third time ever in a cobra), needless to say I had a serious case of white knuckles. You would think it was due to the cold temperature in Minnesota this late into the fall, but that was not the case. I approached the building and configuration of this car so that I would be scared of it at first. I got my wish.

I entered onto a low traffic county highway, and gave it about 1/4 throttle in first, little did I know the wheels were already spinning, then smoothly shifted into second and applied about 1/2 throttle.... the car began dancing around the road, first left, then right, then left again before it straightened out... I knew better than to let off the gas so I just road it out. When I shifted into third I was a little more hesitant, but still before I knew it I was up to 90mph, with a lot more to go. Mission accomplished! I was scared of it... or to put it better, I greatly respect its power.

I'm no stranger to speed, (186mph on a motorcyle, 145mph in a trans am), but this is the first time I've driven a car with this kind of power to weight ratio in such a tight package... a truely awesome experience. Now I just have to wait until spring to put some miles on it, and get use to it.
