I take it back. I had to head down to the store and decided to take the Cobra. Bomber jacket, fleece ski cap and a scarf, and headed out into the balmy 50 degree night---you've got to remember: shaved head, great for deflecting road debris, but really, really cold with wind chill. The drive was not too bad. Nice to get the Cobra out between rain storms (or "sprinkles" as you call them in other states...). I opened it up a little pulling out onto Mt. Hermon Road, and goosed it once, then slowed to get into the left turn lane by Starbucks. CHP pulls up next to me. Smiles. Moves on. I think I'd been seeing red lights had I been slightly more aggressive...
Got-the-Bug-Doug: February. I'll probably start the tear-down in mid-January---providing I'm done with the bathroom remodel (down to the studs---this ought to be interesting...). Steve Woods offered me use of a trailer to tow up to Yuba City to Ken's. I'm checking with a local painter first, but I think Ken's in Yuba City will likely be the winning bid. Still thinking solid black. I'm looking forward to a warm spring and a painted Cobra!
