Thanks Donna, Nick, Ron, and everyone else who was there to share this wonderful moment. While most of you know that Donna is the poet, I took a stab a little something to commemerate the event. I had to take a lot of "poetic license" but I am a little of my realm when it comes to something like this.

Twas the week before Christmas with all of the bustle
People were everywhere trying to hustle

It was a frigid morning missing 5 by one degree
To the NE Cobra breakfast we headed, the kids, Momma, and me

The Windmill we are finally here
But parking was scarce both front and rear

As we started for the next door lot for a parking pick
Who should appear before our wondering eyes but Bonnie and jolly St. Nick

As we chatted a car pulled out and left
We pulled in and Nick said come see the car of Jeff

Off we headed to the parking lot next door
With Donna, Bonnie, the kids, and many more

There on a trailer sitting under a cover
Was the car waiting for us to discover

Off of the car the cover did Nick and Jeff pull
At the same time came off from my eyes the wool

There on the trailer sat the unpainted front and rear
Of my car that had not been home for the past year

The engine had sat for over four years
Preventing me from rowing thru the gears

Another mechanic did promise to resolve
But after a year, Donna and Nick arranged an over haul

Nick thru me the keys and told me to pump it
The choke wasn’t working, oh darn it

Without any waiting, into the cockpit I did jump
Turned on the key and started to pump

As the starter whirred, my fingers were crossed
Suddenly a sweet sound exited the exhaust

The engine started right up loud enough we covered our ears
As the engine revved and roared, there arose heartfelt cheers

With a grin that reached from ear to ear
The cold froze it in place until early next year

Finally Nick said we need to go in and eat
I shut down the engine and exited my seat

I shook Nick’s hand and could not thank him enough
Without his skills and help getting it running would have been tough

As for Donna, I gave her a hug and lifted her into the air
And then gave her a big kiss right then and there

As we walked away I glanced at just another reason
To wish everyone, a safe, happy, and wonderful season

It was a wonderful day. I can not thank Nick enough for his work on getting it going in such a short time. I really appreciate it.

As for my wife Donna, this is just another of the reasons that I married her in the first place. Life is full of surprises both big and small and I am truely blessed to have a wife who is so caring, loving, and shares the same passions as myself.

Thanks again to everyone and have the happiest of holidays.

Mike
