Well, I spent New Years eve "day" replacing the bushings, the O-ring and gasket. Everything else seems fine so no need to change the strainer, springs, etc.

I've relocated the fuel pump behind the rear splash panel, extended the wiring to that location, and extended the fuel-filter hose to it can reach. I put electricity to the pump and it sound normal again.

The only niggly thing that stops me from completion is the tank-to-pump hose... it cannot reach the -8 fitting; what I need is a 90-degree 3/8 to AN-8 fitting to make this work but Goodies was closed by 1:00pm and PepBoys didn't have a 90-degree elbow.

So close and yet so far. But at least the pump is fixed.
