It's a truck motor as noted above. Not made for high RPM. It's a perfect motor if you have a 4X4 quad cab and want to pull a trailer. Lots of low end torque but in a stock configuration I don't think it will even spin over 5000 RPM. My brother pulls a trailer with his and can hold the speed limit up the hills as he's passing motorhomes.
