mine was a 6 year build BUT what i did was i started with a body and frame with the windshield and had the body mounted along with the doors, hood,and trunk from the
"factory" that way all of that was correct when it came time to reassemble from paint.
all but a few parts came from a local speed shop and i built as time and money allowed and i ended up with what i wanted from the very start.
i havent gone thrue several engine/trans combos like some have or changed rear gears every other mounth like some have.
with careful planning and a budget in place you can do a 4,5,6 year build and end up with what you wanted in the first place AND there is nothing like building your first...
if i was looking to do a car today i would buy a running car......
thanks to the economy i could not build my car today for what i can buy one for.
