Not sure it matters much now, but my Dad bought a new '66 red Mustang 289 2+2 Fastback in California for $2,850. It had an air injection system into the exhaust manifold and was the first smog stuff after the PVC. It had a PVC too. Let's see, I took the smog stuff off and back on 3 times, put a Holly 4Bbl and Edelbrock manifold on and it was still a slug. The 3.91 rear end made a big difference. I sold the car in 1977 for $850. The license plate was HPM780. Why can't I recall any other car plate I've owned? Say, wonder where that car is now?
