Not putting anyone down, but if you have the funds , the time, the ability there is nothing like building it yourself. I wasn't sure I had the ability. When I finished I poured a drink, went out to my patio and then shouted " I built a car". I then sat down, lit a cigar and pondered what was acomplished. I felt on top of the world.
Since then, because of the accompishment, my cousin is in the process of purchasing the 34 rod just released by FFR, my brother in law in France bought an old Renault 5 and is preparing it for a rally in Morraco. The things you do set off a chain reaction that is hard to believe.
Would I do it again..... in a heart beat. I am actually considering selling this car to start a new build. Right now I enjoyed the build more than driving it. Don't get me wrong I REALLY enjoy the driving of it, but the build was the ultimate.
There are some amazing buys out there which makes the decission harder.
