Federally-funded health centers care for you, even if you have no health insurance. You pay what you can afford, based on your income.

Kinda blows you're whole, "people have no access to health care," bit, doesn't it.
It show's your complete lack of understanding on how these health center's work and why they can't begin to address the underlaying problem of providing reasonable, affordable and quality health care for those without insurance. You don't have a clue!

Some even provide dental care! Cleaning, basic cavity filling. Need a root canal? Not gonna happen. Need a cap or a rebuild of a damaged tooth? See ya. They will PULL your tooth, but only if it's not to complicated. When your teeth are gone and you need dentures? Sorry, no can do. Same for medical care, just basic care. Got a serious medical issue? Need high dollar drugs for Hep C, cancer or whatever? To bad.

The income requirements are such that the "sliding scale" fee for "free service" means you likely qualify for Medicaid already.

But I'm glad they are there, they offer a good basic service for many.
