Its a Cali thing. Our cars have to be registered as a, in my case, 2008 SPNS car. Not a 1965 car.
I sensed that replica tone beginning to raise its ugly head again and I wanted to put it to rest so we do not destroy another very informative thread. We all have different Cobras and we really need to put that whole issue to rest.
Given the advice of the CHP, if you want a black plate, its fine as long as all the numbers and letters match and the stickers are current. But, if CHP is looking at your black plate through a cloud of smoke, you got problems. The track is the best place for that stuff.
