Hi Pete, When I built my cobra I got a complete XJ6 rear end. It was a 3.31 ratio. You can tell ratio by looking at the metal tags that are attached to the diff cover. I sent my control arms to Ron Butler, Cobra builder, now Retired, and he shortened them for me. See my IRS photo in my Album.

I spoke to Ron today and he will shorten both the control arms to the XKE specifications for $200 + shipping. He also has the correct half-shafts for sale at $250.00 for the l & R pair. Seems like a fair price to me.

Ron is a gentleman to deal with and his work has always exceeded my expectations. He is in California, call him he said he would be happy to take care of you. 805-649-6000 He was one of Carroll Shelby's crew in the hay-day of Cobra racing. Please tell him that Arthur Mitchell referred you.
