Back a year or so ago there were some ford fe cranks floating around that had the wrong size counter bore in the end for the pilot bearing---there were some various ways of getting around the problem--maybe do a search but in the end three things must be correct---
OD of bushing fit the crank

ID of bushing fit the pilot snout of the trans imput shaft

Imput shaft lenght match bell housing depth from trans face to pilot

All are very basic items that are often ignored by in experienced people
