Hi Guys at FRR.
I made a trip to the factory in Mass some time ago; Back in 2006, I ended up purchasing the Backdraft Racing Roadster and have been extremely happy with the performance and fit and finish.
The one thing that turned me off from the FFR MKIII was those ungodly out side bolts and the extra costs required to make the cobra look finished. I don't care if the car's specs was an exact clone of the original, I just wanted something clean, finished looking, and fun to drive. By the way, There are so few originals, never mind finding one on the road, so an exact replica did not concern me.
I'm am happy though that the new improvements made to the FFR MK IV body look so much nicer that their previous models. I've seen beautiful older FFRs and Horrible FFRs completed, but each had those bolts on the outside and some other body issues that were immediately recognizible as a FFR. Inconsistent builds also turned me off.
However, NOW with the MK4 things have changed. This new FFR looks pretty convincing now. I like it much better. Good Job FFR. If this model had come out 4 years ago, I might have got one. But for now, I'll still prowl around in my Backdraft. After all this is the true reason why we getrr these cars.
